Per the State of Scrum 2017-2018 report by the Scrum Alliance, bimodal/hybrid approaches to Agile/Waterfall seem to have been gaining traction the past couple of years at the expense of using Scrum alone.

Bimodal Agile/Waterfall brings about a complete integration that is more justified than having to rationalize every element in the blend of a Hybrid Agile/Waterfall.
